Theoc Drivers Privacy Policy
Version: 2 Effective date: October 30, 2026 Last updated: October 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Shadeka Lashana Theoc d/b/a Theoc Drivers ("Theoc," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use the Theoc Drivers mobile app, website and related services (together, the "Services"). It applies to everyone who uses the Services: people who request help ("Customers"), the independent professionals who provide it ("Providers," sometimes called "Theoc Drivers"), and anyone a Customer requests help for (a "Friend").
Theoc is a marketplace. We connect Customers with independent Providers of Towing, Mobile Car Wash and Mechanic services in the United States. More service types may be added later. When they are, this policy will cover them too.
Summary: We collect what we need to match you with a nearby Provider, keep both sides safe, process payments and run the business. We share your information with the other person on your job only as much as the job requires. Phone calls and texts go through masked numbers. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can see, correct or delete your data, and you can delete your account in the app at any time.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you give us
| Category | Examples | Who |
|---|---|---|
| Account and identity | Name, email address and/or mobile phone number, password (stored by our authentication provider in hashed form; we never see it), and your role (Customer or Provider) | Everyone |
| Profile | Profile photo, first name shown to the other party | Everyone (the photo is optional for Customers) |
| Customer vehicle | Make, model, color and license plate of the vehicle needing service | Customers |
| Service request | Service type, pickup or service location, description of the problem, and an optional photo of the vehicle or scene | Customers |
| Friend request | The Friend's first name and phone number, and the location where they need help | Customers using "Send help to a friend" |
| Provider details | Legal name, the services you offer, your service area, your work vehicle (description and color), your license plate, and verification information we ask for during approval (for example, driver's license, insurance, business or tow license, and, where we use one, background-check consent and results) | Providers |
| Communications | In-app chat messages, support requests, and the feedback and ratings you leave | Everyone |

1.2 Information collected automatically
- Precise location (GPS).
- Customers: we collect your precise location when you request help, so we can find nearby Providers and show your Provider where to go. During an active job we also use it to show you the Provider's progress.
- Providers: we collect your precise, live location while you are Available (online) or on an active job. We use it to offer you nearby jobs, show the Customer your arrival in real time, estimate arrival times, and for safety and dispute resolution.
- We do not collect Providers' location while they are offline with no active job.
- You can turn location off in your device settings, but the core Services will not work without it.
- Job and usage data.
- The jobs you request, accept, decline, cancel and complete, with their status and timestamps.
- Arrival-time estimates, ratings, and the job history shown in the app.
- Call data. When calls and texts go through masked numbers, our telecommunications provider may process call times, durations and the phone numbers involved. We do not record calls unless we tell you first and the law allows it.
- Device and log data.
- App version, device model, operating system, language, and a crash and diagnostics identifier.
- IP address, and push-notification tokens (when notifications are enabled).
1.3 Information from others
- Other users: ratings and comments about you, and chat messages sent to you.
- The Customer who sent help: if you are a Friend, the Customer gives us your first name, phone number and location.
- Service providers: for example, verification or background-check vendors (Providers only, with consent), our payment processor (payment status), and our authentication provider.
1.4 More about specific kinds of information
- Reviews and ratings. When a Customer rates a Provider, we store the star rating, the optional comment, the job it belongs to, and the date. The Provider's average rating, number of reviews, and the reviews themselves (with the reviewer's first name only) are shown to other users and to the Provider. We keep reviews while the Provider's account exists, and may keep them in de-identified form after.
- Photos. We collect photos you choose to upload: profile photos, vehicle photos, job photos, and Provider insurance-card and license photos. Photos are compressed on your device before upload. Job photos are shared with the other party to the job.
- Insurance documents. Providers give us their insurance carrier, policy number, expiration date and a photo of the insurance card. We use them to check that coverage is in place and not expired, and we may share them with a Customer, an insurer or authorities in connection with a claim about a job. Only the Provider and Theoc's administrators can see them in the app.
- Licenses and permits. Providers give us license and permit details for the services they offer (for example towing or trade licenses). We use them to check eligibility.
- Background and driving-record checks. With a Provider's separate written consent, we (or a consumer reporting agency acting for us) may obtain criminal-background and motor-vehicle-record reports. We handle these under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and applicable state law, including giving the notices and rights it requires before taking adverse action. Results are used only to decide eligibility and safety.
- Agreement records. We record which version of the Terms, Privacy Policy and Provider Agreement you accepted, when you accepted, and (for Providers) the full name you typed as your electronic signature.
- Location. We collect precise location while you use the app to find nearby Providers, to show a Provider's live location to the Customer during a job, and to check whether another driver is nearby before you skip a Provider. Providers who are online share their location so they can be matched. We do not sell location data.
- Language. We store the language you choose in the app so we can show the app and messages in that language. Legal documents are provided in English, and the English version controls.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide the Services. This means creating and securing accounts, matching Customers with approved Providers who offer the requested service, showing live location and arrival times, enabling chat and masked calls, and keeping job history.
- Keep people safe.
- For Customers: we show the Customer the Provider's photo, first name, vehicle, plate and rating once the Provider accepts.
- For Providers: we show the Provider the Customer's vehicle make, model, color and plate.
- Across the platform: we verify and approve Providers, investigate incidents, and prevent fraud and misuse.
- Process payments.
- Charging cards through our payment processor and recording cash payments.
- Calculating the platform commission and the Provider's payout, and tracking commission owed on cash jobs.
- Applying the friend-request fee, and handling refunds and chargebacks.
- Support and communications. We answer requests, send service and safety messages, receipts and policy updates, and, where you allow it, promotional messages that you can opt out of.
- Improve the Services. We fix bugs, measure performance, and develop new features and service types.
- Legal and compliance. We meet tax, accounting and legal obligations, enforce our Terms, and respond to lawful requests.
We do not use your precise location or chat content for third-party advertising.
3. How we share information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising (as those terms are defined by California law). We disclose information only as described below.
3.1 Between Customers and Providers (to do the job)
- The Provider sees:
- The Customer's or Friend's first name and pickup or service location.
- The live location during the job.
- The service type, the problem description and any photo.
- The vehicle make, model, color and plate.
- The Customer's rating, if any.
- The Customer sees: the Provider's photo, first name, vehicle, plate, rating, live location and estimated arrival time. Customers do not see a Provider's last name.
- Phone numbers are masked. Calls and texts go through a temporary number from our telecommunications provider, so neither side sees the other's real number. This includes a Friend's number. Masked numbers stop working after the job ends.
3.2 Service providers (processors)
We use vendors who process information for us under contracts that limit their use of it:
- Google / Firebase. Authentication, cloud database and hosting, maps and location services, crash reporting and, where enabled, push notifications.
- Twilio (planned). Masked phone calls and text messages.
- Stripe (planned). Card payments, Provider payouts, fraud prevention and related compliance (for example, identity checks for payouts).
- Verification or background-check vendors (Providers only, with your consent where the law requires it).
- Customer support, email and analytics tools that we may use to run the Services.
3.3 Other disclosures
- Legal and safety. We disclose information to comply with law, legal process or lawful government requests. We also disclose it to protect the rights, property or safety of users, the public or Theoc, including sharing with emergency responders or insurers after an incident.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, information may transfer under this policy.
- With your direction. We disclose information when you ask us to.
4. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above:
| Data | Typical retention |
|---|---|
| Account and profile | While your account is open. Deleted or de-identified within 30 days after you delete your account, except as noted below. |
| Live location | Detailed GPS points for an active job: up to 90 days after the job, for safety and disputes. Your last known location as an online Provider is overwritten as you move. |
| Chat messages | Up to 90 days after the job, unless needed longer for a safety or legal matter. |
| Job, payment, commission and tax records | Up to 7 years, as required for accounting, tax, chargebacks and legal claims. These records are kept after account deletion, with direct identifiers minimized where possible. |
| Provider verification records | For the time the law allows or requires (often up to 7 years). |
| Masked-call metadata | As kept by our telecommunications provider, generally up to 13 months. |
When we no longer need information, we delete it or de-identify it.

That includes precise location, account log-in, and, for Providers, government ID and background-check information. We do not use it to infer characteristics about you.

6. Children
The Services are for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Children under 18 may not create accounts. If you believe a child has given us information, contact support@theocdrivers.com and we will delete it.
A Customer may request help for a Friend. Customers must not submit information about a minor except as needed to get emergency roadside help for them, and only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. These include:
- Encryption in transit (TLS).
- Access controls and server-side security rules that limit who can read each record.
- Masked phone numbers.
- Never storing full card numbers.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use a strong password and keep your device secure. If a data breach affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.
8. Where information is processed
The Services are offered in the United States. Information is stored and processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate, with appropriate safeguards.
